Salonia Harper was hired in June 2025 as the second Head Coach of the VU STUNT team in program history.
Harper, a Vanguard graduate, got her degree in history and political science in 2021. While at VU, Harper was a three-time letter winner from 2019 to 2021 and the team had a 21-12 mark during that span. She was a team captain on the 2021 NAIA Division STUNT National Championship roster that beat Oklahoma City University in St. Louis to bring home the trophy and was awarded the Coach’s Award at the end of the season.
She was an assistant coach to Leslie Allen the following year and the 2022 squad ended with a 15-4 mark and went 2-1 at the STUNT Championships hosted at Jessup University, with the Warriors narrowly edging out Vanguard in the title match.
Harper returned to Northern California after that and was named the head coach of the STUNT and sideline cheer programs at Dougherty Valley High School in San Ramon. She guided both programs over the past three years and saw continuous improvement, with two of her athletes pursuing STUNT at the collegiate level. In addition to working at the school, Harper built and developed the first club STUNT team around the Dublin, California, area at California Spirit Elite.
