Johanna Caprietta begins her first season on the Vanguard Athletics Training staff.

Caprietta joins the Lion family after gaining experience as an Athletic Training Intern with UCLA Club Sports, the Los Angeles Chargers and Long Beach State Athletics. During the spring of 2024, Caprietta provided communication with physicians regarding imaging and mental health referrals to over 3000 athletes and 56 club sports at UCLA. She managed a high-volume clinic, and also created and implemented a prevention program for over 50 athletes, enabling them to return to activity within the same season.

She assisted with treatments and rehabilitation while managing hydration and inventory for 90 Chargers players during training camp in the fall of 2023. With LBSU Athletics, she collaborated with team physicians and helped provide evaluation, rehab and treatment for over 100 patients.

After receiving her bachelor’s of science degree in Biology from UCLA in March 2021, she earned her master’s in Athletic Training from Long Beach State in June 2024.

Caprietta will work with the Vanguard men’s wrestling, cross country, and track and field programs.
