Teams: Women's wrestling, baseball, dance

Ashlyn Monroe is in her first season serving on the Vanguard Athletics Training staff.

Monroe gained experience most recently as an athletic training grad student with the UC Irvine baseball team from September 2023 to April 2024. She assisted in data collection for the Arm Care Program related to the UCI pitching staff and utilized the ViFive motion app for pitchers performance. She also created rehabilitation plans for post-surgical procedures while evaluating and treating both acute and chronic injuries. Monroe’s responsibilities included collaborating with the strength and conditioning coach on rehabilitation programs.

A recipient of a bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Portland State in June 2021, Monroe also honed her skills at Olympus High School in Holladay, Utah in June 2023. She was an athletic training graduate student in the the Biomechanics Lab, analyzing film with pitchers and outfielders to improve overall performance. She also served a stint with the University Orthopaedic Center at the University of Utah.

Monroe earned her Master’s in Athletic Training from the University of Utah in May 2024.

Monroe has been assigned to the baseball and women’s wrestling squads.
