The Vanguard University Soccer program is hosting its 13th Annual Golf Tournament on Friday, April 22nd with check-in beginning at 11:00 a.m. and the shot gun start at 1:00 pm. Tijeras Creek Golf Club, located in Rancho Santa Margarita, is this host of the event and the Ted Robinson designed course features breathtaking scenery and a demanding front nine holes.
COSTA MESA, Calif. – The NAIA National Office released the 2015 All-American list for both men's and women's soccer earlier today. Vanguard placed four total members on the list including Juan Arellano (JR/Hawthorne, CA), Jesus Fregoso (SR/La Puente, CA), and Brandon Gomez (SO/Los Angeles, CA) on the men's side as well as Danyelle Allen (JR/Mountain View, CA) in her first season with the women.

The magic of last season faded as the Lions were blanked 2-0 by the MidAmerica Nazarene (16-5). Vanguard was outmatched on the offensive end attempting 13 less shots.
COSTA MESA, Calif. - Fresh off a quarterfinal finish a year ago, the Lions (16-5) made things easier on themselves this year by smashing the University of Great Falls 3-0 in the NAIA Opening Round match. They did not have the stress of an overtime match like last year due to three second half goals from Jesus Fregoso (SR/La Puente, CA), Ivan Azpeita (JR/Orange, CA), and Jose Castillo (SO/Orange, CA).

LA MIRADA, Calif. - On a chilly evening in La Mirada the two top teams in the Golden State Athletic Conference found themselves playing in the conference tournament final with a chance to earn an automatic bid to the NAIA National Championship. The 14th ranked Lions (15-4) had a second straight title on their minds, but the eighth ranked Biola University Eagles (14-4-1) played the role of spoilers, winning the match 1-0 in front of their energetic fans.
