COSTA MESA, Calif. – Vanguard track and field has voted Josh Espinoza (SR/Glendale, AZ) and Ali Drennan (JR/Wheelers Hill, Australia) as its 2014 Athletes of the Year. Both athletes led their respective squads, competing at both the NAIA Indoor and Outdoor National Championships, and excelled at the important Golden State Athletic Conference Championship meet.

GULF SHORES, Ala. - Ali Drennan (SO/Wheelers Hill, Australia) broke the Vanguard school record in the heptathlon yet again on Friday with her excellent performance in the grueling seven-event competition, garnering 4,364 points at the 2014 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships.

GULF SHORES, Ala. – (Live Video Streaming) The 63rd annual Men's and 34th annual Women's National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Outdoor Track and Field National Championships will bring in over 150 men's and women's programs to Gulf Shores, Ala., from May 22-24. This year, Vanguard sent seven student-athletes to Alabama to compete in the NAIA meet.

COSTA MESA, Calif. - Vanguard athletes competed over the weekend one last time before the NAIA Track and Field National Championship Outdoor meet. Ali Drennan (SO/Wheelers Hill, Australia) broke her own heptathlon school record again, attempting to earn a chance to compete against the nation's best in one of track's most grueling events. Josh Espinoza (JR/Glendale, AZ) also broke the VU school record in the men's 5,000m on Saturday at the Oxy Invitational.
