




KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2013 NAIA Women's Tennis All-Americans. Players were selected by the All-America committee. The list of honorees includes 16 student-athletes on each of the first and second teams, plus 16 honorable mentions.

MOBILE, Ala. – Lindsey Wilson (18-2) ended Vanguard's 2013 championship bid on Wednesday afternoon in the second round of the NAIA Women's Tennis National Tournament by the final score of 5-0.

COSTA MESA, Calif. – Vanguard (12-16) took down Evangel (Mo.) (11-4), 8-1, in the first round of the 2013 NAIA Women's Tennis National Championships on Tuesday afternoon at the Mobile Tennis Center. The Lions swept all six singles matches and earned points at second and third doubles to advance in the tournament.

COSTA MESA, Calif. – Vanguard tennis swept the Golden State Athletic Conference Player of the Year awards as both of the Lions' respective number one players, Stefan Kilchhofer on the men's side and Juliet Labarthe for the women, earned the honor in 2013. Moreover, head coach Mattias Johansson was selected as the GSAC Men's Tennis Coach of the Year for his third-ranked squad's historical 22-0 season.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – (Bracket) (Match Schedule) The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has officially released the bracket for the 2013 NAIA Women's Tennis National Championships, held May 14 - 18 in Mobile, Ala. The 33rd annual event is hosted at the Mobile Tennis Center. No. 11 Vanguard, which received an at-large bid into the tournament will face Evangel (Mo.) (11-3) in the first round on Tuesday, May 14th at 11:00 am (PST).

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The No. 11-ranked Lions suffered a minor set-back on Monday afternoon after reaching the Golden State Athletic Conference Championship last week, falling to Point Loma, 8-1, in a non-conference women's tennis bout.
