COSTA MESA, Calif. - Lions' cross country will host the 25th Annual Vanguard Invitational on October 11th, beginning with the women's 5K at 9:00 am and concluding with the men's 8K at 9:45 am.

IRVINE, Calif. – Vanguard cross country competed at the UC Irvine Invitational over the weekend. Six Lions' runners improved on their previous UCI course records, though Dominique Dayrit (SO/Mesa, AZ) (25:25; 5k) and Zach Hunt (SO/Sparks, NV) (26:31; 8k) made the biggest strides, besting their 2013 marks by 2:36 and 1:35, respectively.

COSTA MESA, Calif. – Junior Josh Espinoza (Glendale, Ariz.) qualified for the NAIA Cross Country Championships with his second place (25:21) performance in the Golden State Athletic Conference meet on Saturday at Fairview Park. Espinoza and freshman Jared Shohfi (Hayward, Calif.) earned All-GSAC honors for their efforts in the 8k.

IRVINE, Calif. – Vanguard cross country competed in the West Coast Jamboree, hosted by Biola, at Irvine Park on Saturday morning. The Lion men upset No. 19 Oregon Tech en route to a fourth place overall (out of 14) finish. The Blue and Gold women's team took 14th in a 16-team field.
