ORANGE, Calif. – The No. 25 Vanguard men's cross country team knows how to push. Although full of underclassmen, the team is quietly confident and lets its actions speak louder than words. On Saturday in the Golden State Athletic Conference Championship, the Lions left it all on the course and the result was the program's highest ever finish, 2nd place, in the conference meet.

The race will be held at Irvine Regional Park in the city of Orange.

FULLERTON, Calif.- Senior Megan Williams (Fort Worth, Texas) posted a season-best mark of 18:02 en route to a third overall finish for the Lions in the 5K on Friday evening at the Cal State Fullerton Titan Invitational. In the men's 8K race, sophomore Tyler Dutchover (Calimesa, Calif.) excelled, crossing the line in 11th place with a time of 24:54.

Women's Cross Country - Sat, Oct. 13, 2012
COSTA MESA, Calif. - Vanguard cross country hosted and competed in the 23rd Annual Vanguard Invitational on Saturday morning at Fairview Park. The VU men represented on their home turf in the team competition, placing first out of 13 squads to claim the title for the Lions, while the Pride women posted their fastest team time of the year and took fifth out of 11 teams.
