COSTA MESA, Calif. - On Monday afternoon, Luis Valdivia (SR/Oceanside, CA) became the recipient of Vanguard men's soccer's first 2014 Golden State Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week honor.

COSTA MESA, Calif. - Forward Madison Cody and goalkeeper Lauren Terry swept the Golden State Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week awards on Monday after the Lions wrapped preseason play with an overall mark of 7-0-1. Both players have previously earned the honor in 2014. Cody is a back-to-back recipient of the offensive nod, while Terry won the year's first defensive award on September 8th.

The Pride's Charlotte Heerlyn (JR/Santee, CA) was crucial for VU in her first match back with 13 kills, while libero Kelly Heenan (SR/Costa Mesa, CA) led all players with 19 digs.
