Hello again Vanguard! College is a world of adjustments, well for me. Learning to live with roommates, being busy all the time, and studying for tests every week. All of them have been good adjustments except for the studying part. My two roommates, Belle and Jen, are both softball players which is great because we are all on the same schedule. Having roommates can be a struggle at times when it comes to getting ready in the morning because, you know, girls love their space.
Going to school by the beach is by far the best. Being able to go to the beach anytime, well anytime I am not busy, is a dream come true. I got to surf for the first time last week which included a lot of falling off the board, but also getting up on the first try which was a good bumper for my ego. I can't wait to try more things in this journey.
Now let's talk about sports. Softball started practice four weeks ago practicing five days a week. Yesterday, we had our marathon game which we played 50 innings. Getting to see family, friends, alumni, and faculty play with us made the game so much fun. It was filled with laughter and fun from the start to the very end. Now, we have a week off which is must needed for our bodies, but still includes six a.m. weights on Tuesday/Thursday and Wednesday conditioning. I am so excited to see what this team can do together in games, and we will in two weeks when it's GAME DAY! Until next time Lions!
