It could be safe to say many of us had a rough 2016, so I guess it's a good thing that the new year always calls for resolutions. But let's be honest, probably a small amount of us actually keep up with our resolutions for the whole year, or even just through January. I've done a lot of thinking, and I think this year I am going to try something new. I am going to reallocate my time, and I am going to replace things in my life that I don't necessarily like with new or better things. When I say things, I don't mean material things, I mean abstract or action things.
I've already written a list of things I don't necessarily enjoy that I could change or get rid of. So, I'll give you all a couple example of what I mean. I don't think that I spend enough time exploring the things I am passionate about. So instead of wasting my time watching Netflix, or worrying about things that don't really matter, I will invest my time into things I'm passionate about. So I'll spend more of my time writing, rather than watching Netflix. I'll spend more time with my guitar, rather than on Pinterest.
Those are just a couple things that I am planning to do with this new year coming up. Every New Years, I promise myself that the upcoming year will be better than the last. By taking every opportunity that the Lord presents me with and making the best of it, I will continue to keep that promise! I wish you a happy and healthy New Year!
"But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)
