LA MIRADA, Calif. – Biola hit a walk-off single to hand No. 24 Vanguard a tough Golden State Athletic Conference loss on Wednesday at Eagles Diamond Field. Senior catcher John Collins did everything in his power to keep his team out front with a double and a two-run homerun, but it was not meant to be as the Eagles took the game 6-5.

COSTA MESA, Calif. – Vanguard (30-20, 10-10 GSAC) completed its 2014 Golden State Athletic Conference season with a split, as it run-ruled Arizona Christian (9-29, 2-18 GSAC)10-2 (5 innings) in the opener but fell 4-1 to the Firestorm in the nightcap.

EL CAJON, Calif. – Clayton Voechting (SR/Temecula, CA) (6-4) was excellent on the mound Saturday as he and No. 14 Vanguard picked up a 5-1 Golden State Athletic Conference win against sixth-ranked San Diego Christian at the SDC Field. Voechting two-hit the Hawks, throwing six innings for the Lions while surrendering just one earned run. He also managed four strikeouts in the outing.

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. - No. 9 Vanguard enters into the 2014 GSAC Women's Tennis Tournament as the No. 1 seed after going undefeated (10-0) in league play and winning the regular season title. The second annual conference tourney will take place at Indian Wells Tennis Garden on April 15th, 16th and 17th. The Lions reached the final in 2013, but finished second to Westmont.

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. - The second annual Golden State Athletic Conference Tennis Tournament will take place this week. Indian Wells Tennis Garden will once again be the host for the tourney which will take place April 15-17. The VU men's team won the inaugural conference tournament in 2013.
